Benjamin Wagner Charged with 2002 Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old Girl

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Benjamin Martin Wagner, 68, of Greenville, North Carolina, in connection with the sexual assault of a then 14-year-old girl. The victim is now 37 years old. A sexual assault kit was performed upon the victim at the time of the assault in 2002. This warrant was not ready to be processed in time for the defendant’s arraignment on the other cases on March 19, 2026.

Desmond Burks Sentenced in Homicide of Dr. Devon Hoover and Reda Saleh

Today Judge Paul Cusick sentenced the defendant in accordance with the sentence agreement to 35 to 60 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections and a five-year consecutive sentence for the weapons charge. He was also sentenced in a separate Manslaughter case in accordance with the sentence agreement to 10 to 15 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections that will be served concurrently.
