Three Charged in 2025 Fatal Shooting of Detroit Witness

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Bekelba Migel Holland, 52, Tycie Denise Parham, 48, and Gerald Keith Towns, 62, all of Detroit, in connection with the fatal shooting of Robert Harbin, 42, also of Detroit. Defendant Parham and the victim have a child in common.
On October 14, 2025, at approximately 11:24 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 18700 block of Kelly Road for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim in the driver's seat of his vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
It is alleged that Defendant Holland followed the victim to a residence in the 18700 block of Kelly Road in Detroit. It is then alleged that Defendant Holland produced and fired a handgun multiple times into the victim's vehicle, fatally wounding Mr. Harbin, before fleeing the scene. It is further alleged that Defendant Parham and Defendant Towns aided and abetted Defendant Holland in the shooting. Bekelba Migel Holland has been charged with First-Degree Murder, Conspiracy – First Degree Murder, Witness Intimidation, Conspiracy – Witness Intimidation, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and four counts of Felony Firearm.**
Tycie Denise Parham and Gerald Keith Towns have both been charged with First-Degree Murder, Conspiracy – First Degree Murder, Witness Intimidation, and Conspiracy – Witness Intimidation. **
"Almost nothing is more serious than the murder of a witness. Nothing raises the hackles of a prosecutor more. In this case it is alleged that these defendants thought the road to acquittal was the elimination of a witness. Now they find themselves charged with murder. This office will be extremely aggressive in making sure these defendants are brought to justice for this brutal behavior," said Prosecutor Kym Worthy.
Defendant Parham was arraigned on April 2, 2026, and remanded to jail in 36th District Court before Magistrate Delphia Burton. Her probable cause conference is on April 10, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. and her preliminary examination is on April 17, 2026, both before Judge Shawn Jacque. Arrangements are being made for Defendant Holland’s arraignment. An update will be sent when an arraignment date is scheduled.
*Gerald Keith Towns is currently awaiting trial on June 29, 2026, before Judge Chandra Baker-Robinson for Assault w/ Intent to Murder, Assault w/ Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person, Felonious Assault, and five counts of Felony Firearm. Mr. Harbin was the victim/witness in the case at the time of his death on October 14, 2025.
