Lincoln Park Man Charged in Non-Fatal Stabbing

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Jaydee Durden, 23, of Lincoln Park, in connection with the non-fatal stabbing of a 33-year-old woman, of Allen Park. The defendant and the victim did not know each other.
On January 6, 2026, at approximately 10:27 a.m., Lincoln Park police officers were dispatched to a Dunkin Donuts located in the 4000 block of Dix Avenue for a reported stabbing. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to her arms and right leg. Medics arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
It is alleged that Defendant Durden approached the victim, and stabbed her multiple times with a knife, before fleeing the scene. Investigation by the Lincoln Park Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant a short time later.
Jaydee Durden has been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, and Felonious Assault.*
He was arraigned and remanded to jail today in 25th District Court before Judge David Zelenak. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for January 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for January 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., before Judge Gregory Clifton.
