Juveniles Charged in Non-Fatal Shooting at Taylor Apartment Complex

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged two 17-year-old juvenile males, both of Toledo, Ohio, in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy, of Taylor.

On April 4, 2026, at approximately 1:37 a.m., Taylor police officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 15800 block of Pond Village for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers made contact with the victim. 

It is alleged that the juvenile respondents were firing handguns at each other, when the victim was struck in the legs, non-fatally injuring him. Investigation by the Taylor Police Department led to the arrest of the juveniles a short time later. 

Both respondents have been charged with one count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon. *

The Preliminary Hearing was held on April 6, 2026, before Referee Leslie Graves. The juvenile respondents each received a $5,000/10% bond and was ordered to have no possession of firearms, no illegal drug use, and no new charges.

The Pre-Trial Hearing is scheduled for May 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., before Referee Nicole Brown.
