Livonia Man Charged in Garden City Non-Fatal Shootings

Defendant Brian Jaron Lindsay, 29, of Livonia, was charged by Prosecutor Kym Worthy in connection with the non-fatal shootings of a 55-year-old man and his 22-year-old son, also of Livonia.

On January 1, 2026, at 4:16 a.m. at the parking lot of a bar located in the 33720 block of Ford Road in Garden City,  it is alleged that a physical altercation between the men resulted in the defendant shooting the older man in the head and the younger man in the chest. After the shooting, the defendant fled from the scene in his car. Garden City police and medics arrived at the scene, and the victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. As a result of the investigation by the Garden City Police the defendant surrendered himself on January 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

Brian Jaron Lindsay has been charged with two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, two counts of Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, two counts of Felonious Assault and six counts of Felony Firearm.*

He was arraigned on January 4, 2026, 36th District Court and received a $1 million cash/surety bond. His Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for January 12, 2026, at 8:45 a.m., in 21st District Court before Judge Richard Hammar.
