Detroit Man Charged in Kidnapping and Sexual Assault of Minor

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Ronnell Tremayne Agee, 37, of Detroit, in connection with the kidnapping and sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, also of Detroit.

Between March 3, 2026, and March 10, 2026, at the defendant's residence in the 19400 block of Lindsay Street in Detroit, it is alleged that Defendant Agee sexually assaulted the victim. More complete facts and evidence will be placed on the record in court at the preliminary examination.

Ronnell Tremayne Agee has been charged with four counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, one count of Kidnapping, four counts of Third-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Marihuana to a Minor, and one count of Harboring a Runaway. *

“You see these stories in the media and momentarily think thankfully this doesn’t happen here. Then reality smacks you in the face. I am so very saddened by what happened to our young survivor in this case. And no doubt about it - she is a survivor,” said Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

He was arraigned and remanded to jail on March 19, 2026, in 36th District Court before Magistrate Delphia Burton. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for March 26, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for April 2, 2026, at 1:45 p.m., before Judge Shawn Jacque.
