Detroit Woman Charged in 2022 Vehicular Assault

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Rajena Larmartique Linson, 25, of Detroit, in connection with the assault of a then 19-year-old woman, also of Detroit.

On January 31, 2022, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a school located in the 15400 block of Maddelein Street for a One Down police run. Upon their arrival, officers observed the victim in the parking lot of the school being treated by medics. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment for a broken jaw, broken leg, and a hematoma on her head.

It is alleged that the defendant physically assaulted the victim. It is further alleged that Defendant Linson struck the victim twice with her vehicle, before fleeing the scene. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant on July 17, 2026. More complete facts and evidence will be placed on the record in court at the preliminary examination.

Rajena Larmartique Linson has been charged with one count of Assault with Intent to Murder. *

She was arraigned today by Magistrate William Burton in 36th District Court. She received $250,000 cash/ surety bond with a GPS tether if she is released. She may not drive and must have no contact with the complainant. Her bond redetermination hearing is on July 20, 2026, before Judge William McConico. Her Probable Cause Conference is on July 27, 2026, and her Preliminary Examination is on August 23, 2026, both before Judge Ronald Giles.
