Livonia Man Charged in Two Attempted Home Invasion Incidents

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Manuel Sarkis Bardakjian, 40, of Livonia, in connection with two attempted home invasion incidents involving a 31-year-old woman, a 33-year-old man, and a 77-year-old man, all of Livonia.

May 13, 2026 – Residence in the 37000 Block of Bristol Drive

On May 13, 2026, at approximately 10:02 a.m., at a residence in the 37000 block of Bristol Drive in Livonia, it is alleged that Defendant Bardakjian was wearing a white hazmat suit when he forced entry into the yard of the 31-year-old victim and attempted to force entry into the victim’s residence. When the victim confronted the defendant, it is further alleged that Defendant Bardakjian physically assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene.

Manuel Sarkis Bardakjian has been charged with Attempted Home Invasion - Second Degree and Assault and Battery. *

May 14, 2026 – Residence in the 37000 block of Bloomfield Drive

On May 14, 2026, at approximately 3:27 p.m., at a residence in the 37708 block of Bloomfield Drive in Livonia, the 77-year-old victim was in his backyard when it is alleged that the defendant forced entry into the victim's yard while wearing a white hazmat suit and pointed a firearm at him. The victim was able to escape the defendant and ran across the street to the home of the 33-year-old victim. It is then alleged that Defendant Bardakjian threatened to shoot both victims, before fleeing the scene.

Investigation by the Livonia Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant on June 6, 2026.

Manuel Sarkis Bardakjian has been charged with Felonious Assault and Felony Firearm. *

He was arraigned on both cases this afternoon before Judge Sean Kavanagh in 16th District Court and received a $250,000 cash/surety bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for June 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., before Judge James Jolly.
