Elections in Wayne County are conducted under the authority of the County Clerk

Wayne County Clerk Cathy M. Garrett is responsible for coordinating and administering all federal, state, county and cross-boundary school district elections conducted within Wayne County. The Elections Division assists the county clerk in the various duties pertaining to the administration of elections.
