Non-Roster Attorney Information

Attorneys who are not on the IDSD roster (MAACS/SADO/NDS/retained) may still request investigator and Expert services through IDSD. Please review the below resources for help with related tasks and topics.

Requesting an Investigator or Expert

MAACS/SADO/NDS and other non-roster attorneys will use the IDSD Support Services system to request investigator and expert services. Please note:

• An account is required to use the system
• You will be required to upload the appointment order or the order of indigency with your request

Certifying Billings

Attorneys are an important part of the billing process and are required to approve all expert or investigator invoices submitted for their cases. Review the video linked below to learn how to approve or further review an IE invoice. Please note:

• You will be notified when an IE invoice has been submitted for your approval
• Attorneys may use the Further Review option rather than Certify if any of the activity was not asked for or if the time appears excessive.
• Attorney's will receive a weekly reminder if they have any outstanding approvals.
• IDSD admins may reach out to you for clarification and then can approve/reject the further reviewed item.
• There is a separate link for the billing system - you will use the same username and password for both
• IDSD's investigator and expert partners rely on your action to receive timely payment for their services, please make every attempt to certify IE billings as soon as possible
