Haggerty Park has two very active soccer fields and a ball diamond in the west area. There are two more very popular ball diamonds in the east area.

In 2013, a memorial for First Responders was constructed at Haggerty Park to honor Wayne County EMS, Fire and Police Officers who gave their lives to help others. Each year, Wayne County Parks presents "Heroes on Hines" which is a 5k Run/Walk event that benefits the First Responders Memorial. For more info, please visit www.heroesonhines.com.
