Enterprise Computing and Infrastructure Division
The Enterprise Computing and Infrastructure Division is responsible for implementing all computing devices, connectivity and infrastructure required to support Wayne County departments and elected offices. The division ensures that the employees and citizens of Wayne County can reliably and securely access County resources. The division contains the following areas:
Cyber Security – The team is responsible for implementing and monitoring security systems, monitoring and responding to incidents, and developing and enforcing cybersecurity related policies.
Network Infrastructure – Provides both local area and wide area network configuration and support for over 40 County locations. The team also manages the enterprise wireless solution and firewall management.
System Engineering – The team provisions, configures and supports the County’s physical and virtual server environments and associated enterprise applications and services. These services include email administration, VPN, FTP servers, load balancers, Active Directory administration, DNS, DHCP, SSO, MFA, eFax system, etc…
Desktop Services - The Desktop Services team provides services and support for the County’s desktop computing environment. These services include break/fix support, product intake, deployments of new equipment, software installations, audio/video support and printer support.
Telecommunications – The telecommunication group provides support for the County’s telephone systems, data wiring, ordering, provisioning, and management of County-issued mobile devices.
