Wilfredo Figueroa-Berrios Charged with Sex Crime Case

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Wilfredo Figueroa-Berrios , 47, of Wayne, MI, in connection with a sexual assault of a 31-year-old woman, who was a patient at Sinai Grace Hospital.

On August 12, 2025, at Sinai Grace Hospital, located in the 6070 block of West Outer Drive, in Detroit, it is alleged that the defendant was employed as a nurse when he sexually assaulted the victim when she was admitted as a patient. More complete facts and evidence will be placed on the record in court at the preliminary examination.

Defendant Wilfredo Figueroa-Berrios has been charged with the felony Criminal Sexual Conduct Third Degree.*

He was arraigned on October 4, 2025, before Magistrate Delphia Burton and received a $100,000/10% bond with a GPS tether and a curfew of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.. The defendant is also ordered to have no contact with the victims and to not go to any hospitals unless there is a personal emergency. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 13, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for October 20, 2025, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Shawn Jacque.
