Public Notice is hereby given that the Civil Service Commission shall meet at least once each month in accordance with the Wayne County Charter as adopted on June 16, 1981 by the Wayne County Charter Commission and approved on July 22, 1981 by Governor William Milliken and approved by the Voters on November 3, 1981.

Yearly Meeting Dates
The Commission usually meets once or twice a month. The Civil Service Commission notice is posted on the Department of Personnel/Human Resources' Examination Board with approximate meeting dates for the year. To confirm the date, time, and location of the next meeting, please call (313) 224-5901 on Monday, prior to the approximate meeting date, after 12:00 p.m. to obtain the most accurate information.
Meeting Procedure
Civil Service Commission meetings begin at 1:00pm unless otherwise indicated. If you have a matter scheduled to be heard by the Commission, please be prepared to have your matter heard at 1:00pm. This means that you should be either physically present at the meeting or in the Zoom waiting room by 1pm. Matters will be heard by the commission on a first-come-first-heard basis; in-person petitioners shall have their matters heard first, followed by virtual petitioners. If you are running late or require an alternative start time within the Commission's meeting window, please contact Sarita Terrell at sterrell@waynecountymi.gov to confirm your attendance and make alternative arrangements. If you have not appeared, virtually or in-person, by the time all other matters have been heard, your matter may be adjudicated without your appearance.
