Detroit Man Charged in Three Domestic Violence Incidents

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Donneal Darren Sandridge-Jones, 31, of Detroit, in connection with the assaults of a 35-year-old woman of Detroit, a 32-year-old woman, of Taylor, and a 27-year-old woman, of Detroit. The defendant had been in a dating relationship with each victim at the time of the incidents.
July 13, 2025 – 32-Year-Old Woman
On July 13, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., at the defendant’s residence in the 12000 block of Elmdale Street, in Detroit, it is alleged that a verbal altercation between the defendant and the victim escalated, and Defendant Sandridge-Jones physically assaulted the victim while armed with a knife. It is further alleged that the defendant damaged the victim’s phone and vehicle.
Donneal Darren Sandridge-Jones has been charged with Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, Felonious Assault, Domestic Violence, and Malicious Destruction of Property - $200 or More but Less Than $1,000. *
He was arraigned on February 3, 2026, before Magistrate Laura Echartea, and received a $500,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether and house arrest. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for February 12, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for February 18, 2026, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Shawn Jacque.
January 20, 2026 – 27-Year-Old Woman
On January 20, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., at the defendant’s residence in the 12000 block of Elmdale Street, in Detroit, it is alleged that the defendant was intoxicated when he stabbed the victim multiple times in the neck. It is further alleged that the defendant forced the victim to drive him to multiple locations while holding her at knifepoint.
Donneal Darren Sandridge-Jones has been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Unlawful Imprisonment, Felonious Assault, Malicious Destruction of Property - $200 or More but Less Than $1,000, and Domestic Violence.*
Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of Defendant Sandridge-Jones on January 31, 2026.

March 31, 2025 – 35-Year-Old Woman
On March 31, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., at the defendant’s residence in the 12000 block of Elmdale Street, in Detroit, it is alleged that the defendant was intoxicated when he threw a brick at the victim’s vehicle, breaking the driver’s side window. It is then alleged that the defendant threw a second brick, striking the victim in the face.
Donneal Darren Sandridge-Jones has been charged with Felonious Assault and Dometic Violence. * An update will be released when an arraignment date for Defendant Sandridge-Jones is confirmed.
