Detroit Hairstylist Charged with Felonious Assault

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Justice Angelique-Danielle Snell, 31, of Detroit, in connection with the felonious assault of a 29-year-old woman, also of Detroit.
On March 6, 2026, at approximately 9:58 p.m., at the defendant’s residence in the 1100 block of West Forest Avenue in Detroit, it is alleged that the defendant and the victim were engaged in a verbal altercation over payment for styling the victim’s hair. It is further alleged that during the altercation, Defendant Snell produced a firearm and pointed it at the victim. More complete facts and evidence will be placed on the record in court at the preliminary examination.

She was arraigned this afternoon in 36th District Court and received a $20,000 cash/ surety bond with a GPS tether. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for March 24, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for March 30, 2026, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Patricia Jefferson.
