This program is an up-close live animals encounter with Michigan turtles, snakes, and salamanders. Along with seeing the animals, attendees will learn about their adaptations of habitat.

The cost is $6 per student ($7 per student if out of county) and is recommended for ages five and older. Children younger than age five may attend for free, but chaperones must prevent them from walking on the ground where the animals are displayed.  Parents/chaperones are free for this program and must accompany their children at all times.

Pre-registration is required by calling (734) 261-1990 or visit the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center.  Our office hours are 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday through Saturday (closed Noon-1:00 PM for lunch).  Nankin Mills Interpretive Center will be closed December 24-Janaury 1, open Friday, January 2nd, and closed Saturday, January 3rd.  Starting Monday, January 5th, we resume our hours of 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday through Saturday.
