Wayne County Economic Vitality Division works to maintain and enhance the economic health and resilience of Wayne County. Here are some key activities of the Economic Vitality Division and how we are making Wayne County economically healthy and resilient:

 

Business Growth and Development: Encouraging the establishment and expansion of businesses to create jobs and stimulate the local economy, attracting new businesses to help create new jobs and grow the tax base.    

Workforce Development: Investing in education and training programs to ensure that the workforce has the skills needed to meet current and future labor market demands.  

 

Community Revitalization: Enhancing infrastructure, public spaces, and services to improve the overall quality of life, attract new residents, and encourage investment.  

 

Sustainable Practices: Promoting environmentally and socially responsible practices to ensure long-term economic health without compromising future resources (PACE and Brownfield Redevelopment Authority)   

 

Collaboration and Partnerships: Engaging various stakeholders, including government, business support organizations, businesses, and community organizations, to work together towards common economic goals.
