Wilfredo Figueroa-Berrios Charged with Sex Crime Case in Detroit

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Wilfredo Figueroa-Berrios, 47, of Wayne, Mi, in connection with a sexual assault of a 41-year-old woman.

On May 9, 2025, outside of 47 East Adams Street, in Detroit it is alleged that the defendant sexually assaulted a female after forcing his way into a porta-john. The defendant and the female knew each other but were not involved in a relationship. More specific facts and evidence will be presented on the record in court.

Defendant Wilfredo Figueroa-Berrios has been charged with the felony Criminal Sexual Conduct Third Degree and misdemeanor Criminal Sexual Conduct Fourth Degree. *

He was arraigned on September 4, 2025, in 36th District Court before Magistrate Delphia Burton, and received a $100,000 cash/surety bond. At the bond re-determination hearing this morning before Judge William McConico, Defendant Figueroa-Berrios’ bond was lowered to $100,000/10% with a GPS tether and a curfew of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for September 15, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for September 22, 2025, at 8:45 am., before Judge Shawn Jacque.
