On July 22, 2025, the defendants were charged in connection with property damage to the Guardian Building in the 500 block of Griswold Street.

On July 19, 2025, at approximately 7:28 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to the 36th District Court, located in the 4200 block of Madison Street for reports of property damage. Upon their arrival, officers made contact with the security guards on duty.

It is alleged that at 4:30 a.m., the defendants used a sling shot to break a window of the courthouse, before fleeing the scene. No one was injured during the incident.

Later the same day, two Detroit police officers located the defendants around Madison Street near Witherell Street and conducted a traffic stop on their vehicle.
