Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Gaylord Joseph Rogers, 66, of Detroit, in connection with the fatal shooting of his live-in girlfriend Maggie Stancil, 54, also of Detroit.

On November 3, 2022, at approximately 12:32 a.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a apartment complex in the 7500 block of East Jefferson Avenue for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered the victim unresponsive.
