CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT-Vining Road over Blakely Drain (Huron)

Thank you for your patience while we make important improvements to Vining Road between Prescott Street and Pennsylvania Road in the Township of Huron.

What's Being Done?

This project consists of a culvert replacement at the Blakely Drain including hot mix asphalt pavement resurfacing, storm sewer installation, watermain relocation, and new pavement markings on Vining Road.

When Will Work Take Place?

Construction is scheduled to begin on September 19, 2022. The section of Vining Road between Prescott Street and Pennsylvania Road is scheduled to be open to traffic by Late Fall 2022, barring unforeseen delays or inclement weather.

What Should I Expect?

Vining Road will be Closed to Thru Traffic for the duration of the project.

Detours will be:

  • SB Vining uses EB Pennsylvania to SB Middle Belt to WB Sibley back to Vining.
  • NB Vining uses EB Sibley to NB Middle Belt to WB Pennsylvania back to Vining. Road is closed NB at Prescott

Access will be maintained to all residents and businesses for the duration of the project. Vining Road is anticipated to be fully open to traffic by Late Fall 2022.

Please use caution when driving through work zones. Reduced speeds and load restrictions may be posted.
