Volunteer Opportunities

Do you have some time to devote to helping out a senior? How would you like to say "Hello" to homebound seniors and bring a smile to their faces along with a hot home delivered meal? For some, this is the only contact they have with other people, and, for the volunteer, a feeling of great accomplishment that you are contributing to a worthwhile cause.

Volunteers are needed between the hours of 8:30 am and 1:30 pm Monday through Thursday as follows:

• Help package and serve seniors at one of the congregate sites located in the 34 communities of western Wayne County or in the Downriver
• Deliver meals one or more times/week and receive mileage reimbursement at .585/mile each month for their route mileage.
• The liquid nutrition program needs volunteers to distribute liquid supplements at one of the 13 distribution sites once a month.
