  • Detention (approx 3,000,000 gallons) provided by 3 elements:
  • Trenches for over 10,000 feet of the storm sewer collection system
  • 2,000,000+ gallon pre-cast concrete underground detention basin
  • Large storm sewers between the underground detention basin and a restricted overflow to surface waters
  • Sediment removal in collection system prior to entering underground detention.
  • New open channel connection to Rouge River (in channelized area)

  • First flush managed by either VortechnicsTM or rains gardens
  • Detention pond
  • 15.6 ac wetland mitigation bank
  • MACDC "Innovative & Excellence Award", winter 2004
