Enjoy being outdoors while helping to protect our local waters! Get outside, meet new people, and learn
how to collect water quality data and measure stream flow with the volunteer Chemistry and Flow Monitoring Program offered by the Alliance of Downriver Watersheds (ADW). No prior experience needed. Volunteers are expected to commit to at least 4 sampling trips during the growing season (April through September) to designated monitoring sites in the Downriver area. During each sampling trip, volunteers spend 2-4 hours in the field. This volunteer opportunity is ideal for folks with flexible daytime availability.
New participants must attend an in-person program orientation session on Saturday, March 22, 2025,
from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center.
Registration is required. Learn more at www.hrwc.org/volunteer/chemflow/
