Two Charged in Human Trafficking of Missing Woman

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Glen Deshun Ford, 46, of Detroit, and Dannille Jeanette Phifer, 45, of Warren, in connection with the human trafficking of a 39-year-old woman, of Wayne County who was reported missing in April of 2025.
On June 18, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., during an investigation for the missing victim, Westland police officers were led to a motel in Redford. Upon their arrival, officers conducted a traffic stop on the defendants’ vehicle and took both defendants into custody. Officers then returned to the motel and were able to recover the victim.
It is alleged that Defendant Ford and Defendant Phifer kidnapped the victim forced the victim to engage in sexual acts for money. More complete facts and evidence will be placed on the record in court at the Preliminary Examination.
Glen Deshun Ford has been charged with one count of Human Trafficking – Forced Labor Involving Kidnapping, Criminal Sexual Conduct, or Death, one count of Accepting the Earnings of a Prostitute, one count of Transporting a Prostitute, one count of Human Trafficking – Resulting in Commercial Sexual Activity, and one count of Human Trafficking Enterprise. *
Dannille Jeanette Phifer has been charged with one count of Human Trafficking – Forced Labor Involving Kidnapping, Criminal Sexual Conduct, or Death, one count of Accepting the Earnings of a Prostitute, one count of Human Trafficking – Resulting in Commercial Sexual Activity, one count of Human Trafficking Enterprise, and one count of Prostitution.*
Both defendants were arraigned on June 20, 2025, in 17th District Court before Judge Karen Khalil and received a $1 million dollar cash bond with a GPS tether. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 1, 2025, at 8:45 a.m., before Judge Karen Khalil.
