Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Todd Edward McIntyre, 28, of Novi, in connection with embezzling money from the Livonia Athletic District sports complex located in the 14200 block of Stark Road in Livonia. The Livonia Athletic District sports complex offers a variety of sports, health, and wellness resources, and houses four sports and wellness related businesses.

It is alleged that between July of 2022 and October of 2024, Defendant McIntyre embezzled over $400,000 from the complex while employed as the general manager. The defendant was terminated from the Livonia Athletic District on October 16, 2024. More complete facts and evidence will be placed on the record in court at the Preliminary Examination.

Todd Edward McIntyre has been charged with Embezzlement - $100,000 or More.*

“One of the reasons that centers like this are established is to provide sports opportunities, recreation, guidance, dream realizations, and hope to our youth. These centers are often hard to sustain. This defendant stole these hopes, dreams, and opportunities from our children to enrich himself. His alleged actions are shameful and criminal,” said Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

He was arraigned this morning in 16th District Court and given a $750,000/10% bond. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 10, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., before Judge Sean Kavanagh.
