Nicki Minaj Warrant Request Denied

Detroit, MI- A warrant request was presented to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office in connection with an alleged assault by Nicki Minaj on her former employee, Brandon Garrett, 40, of Sun Valley ,CA. The alleged incident occurred on April 21, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., at Little Caesars Arena located in the 2640 block of Woodward, in Detroit. Ms. Minaj was in in Detroit on her concert tour.

The warrant request has been reviewed and it has been denied for insufficient evidence to prove that a crime has been committed. There is a request by WCPO to the Detroit Police Department for further investigation into the matter.
