Detroit Man Charged in Multiple Sexual Assaults

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Jarvis Ramon Butts, 41, of Detroit, in connection with the sexual assaults of a now 20-year-old woman of Highland Park, and a now 13-year-old girl, of Detroit.

April 2012 to April 2014 - A Now 20-year-old Female - Home on LaSalle Boulevard

It is alleged that from April 2012 to April 2014 Defendant Butts sexually assaulted the victim at a residence on LaSalle Boulevard in Detroit. Further facts and evidence will be placed on the record at the preliminary examination.

Defendant Butts has been charged with First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct (Person Under 13, Defendant 17 or Older) and three counts of Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct ( Person Under 13, Defendant 17 or Older).*

July 2015 to July 2017 - A Now 13-year-old Female - Home on Stout Street

It is alleged that from July 2015 to July 2017, Defendant Butts sexually assaulted the victim at a residence on Stout Street in Detroit. Further facts and evidence will be placed on the record at the preliminary examination.

Defendant Butts has been charged with Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct ( Person Under 13, Defendant 17 or Older).*

Defendant Butts was arraigned and remanded to jail today in 36th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is on October 4, 2024, and the Preliminary Examination is on October 10, 2024, before Judge Aliyah Sebree. Please request a photograph of the defendant from the Detroit Police Department.
