Allen Park Man Charged with Human Trafficking and Prostitution

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Michael Richard Navoy, 70, of Allen Park in connection with Human Trafficking and Prostitution of women.
On October 1, 2024, Michigan State Police (MSP) detectives were assisting in a human trafficking investigation in Maumee, Ohio, involving Defendant Navoy. It is alleged that he was involved in human trafficking and prostitution operating out of a Southgate home he owned. The investigation in the matter is ongoing. Further facts and evidence will be presented in court at the preliminary examination.
He has been charged with: Count 1 - Accepting Earnings of a Prostitute (Maximum penalty 20 years in prison); Count 2 - Human Trafficking - Forced Labor Resulting in Commercial Sexual Activity (Maximum penalty15 years in prison); Count 3 - Human Trafficking - Forced Labor (Maximum penalty in prison 10 years); Count 4 - Using a Computer to Commit the Crime of Forced Labor Resulting in Commercial Sexual Activity (Maximum penalty 10-20 years in prison); and Count 5 - Keeping a House of Prostitution (Maximum penalty 5 years in prison). *
"It is alleged that Defendant Navoy engaged in human trafficking and operating a house of prostitution in Southgate, Michigan," said Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy. "As a result of the combined efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies working together, this defendant will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
Defendant Navoy was arrested by MSP on December 6. 2024. Today Navoy was arraigned and received a 1 million dollar cash bond in 28th District Court in Southgate. MI. His Probable Cause Conference is on December 20, 2024, and his Preliminary Examination is on December 27, 2024.
