Detroit Man Charged in Homicide of Girlfriend

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Maurice Allison, 56, of Detroit, in connection with the murder of Stacie Davis, 33, also of Detroit. The defendant and victim were residing together at the time of the incident.

On September 17, 2023, at approximately 8:10 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 14140 block of Pfent Street for a reported overdose. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim inside of the residence suffering from blunt force trauma to her head and face. Medics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

It is alleged that Defendant Allison strangled the victim, fatally injuring her. Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant on September 19, 203. Maurice Allison has been charged with First-Degree Murder. *

He was arraigned and remanded to jail this morning in 36th District Court before Magistrate Malaika Ramsey-Heath. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 6, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for October 13, 2023, at 1:45 p.m., before Judge Kenneth King.
