Grosse Ile Parkway Bridge Projects

In 2020, superstructure upgrades and repairs were delayed when a regularly-scheduled underwater inspection identified serious problems with certain piers that required immediate repairs. The repair work was designed and constructed in 2021. Upon completion, the superstructure work continued and was successful.

Merriman Road Bridge Project

The Merriman Road Bridge Project encompasses the necessary reconstruction of two vital bridges, one spanning over Hines Drive and the other over the Rouge River, as well as the resurfacing of Merriman Road from James Avenue to Hawthorne Drive in City of Westland.
