LightFest "Lights On" Opening Celebration

Wayne County Executive Warren Evans and the Department of Public Services welcome you and your family to the Wayne County LightFest LIGHTS ON Holiday Ceremony on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

 

The ceremony will be held at Merriman Hollow Park, which is located at 7651 N. Merriman Road in Westland. There will be musical entertainment, refreshments and fireworks to kick off the 2026 Wayne County LightFest. Holiday Music will be provided by Alexander Zonjic and the Barb Ogar Flute Choir during the event. 

 

Admission to the LightFest will be free of charge from 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM for the attendees of the LIGHTS ON Ceremony.
