Order Extending Redemption Period to March 31, 2022 on all Occupied Forfeited parcels that are subject to Foreclosure in the year 2021, under the above case number

Wayne County Circuit

The Wayne County Treasurer, Eric Sabree, having filed an Exparte Motion for an Order, withholding occupied residential and commercial property from foreclosure and extending the redemption period until March 31, 2022 on all forfeited parties that are subject to foreclosure in year 2021, under the above captioned case number and the court being otherwise advised in the premises, including the substantial financial hardship brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is hereby ordered that the court takes Judicial Notice that taxpayers with forfeited property interests are undergoing a substantial financial hardship and pursuant to MCL 211.78(K)(4), this court hereby withholds occupied residential and commercial property from foreclosure in this case, and extends the redemption period until March 31, 2022.

It is further ordered that all property withheld from foreclosure under the above case number, must be included in the immediately succeeding year's tax foreclosure proceeding.
